What is included?

Additional Costs and Charges
As virtually everything is included in the regular monthly payment the

additional costs of enjoying time on the water as a myBoatshare.com

member are very small indeed.

Costs normally associated with boat ownership that you won’t have to

pay as a myBoatshare.com member include:

z Annual mooring fees

z Maintenance of the yacht and engine

z Fuel

z Cooking Gas

z Antifouling

z Sail cleaning

z Servicing

z Insurance

z Updating of navigation charts and books

All of the above are included. The only areas where you might incur

some modest costs spending time on the water are:

Extra diesel fuel – included in your annual membership is up to 50 litres

of diesel. This should be sufficient for many sea miles under motor and

many hours with the central heating keeping the cabins warm and snug

in the cooler months. - If you require more fuel than this, simply top up

with low cost marine diesel at any suitable fuelling pontoon.

Mooring Fees

When not at your home Marina you pay the mooring fees to the marina or

harbour that you are staying in. These can vary from a free anchorage to

around £25 a night at a popular marina.

Life Jackets

Each yacht has the latest fully automatic, MCA approved

lifejackets on board. However, we recommend – the one off

purchase of personal lifejacket for each regular sailing member

typically £35 - £50 each.

Please see Lifejackets policy section on “Safety” page for full details.

Bookings

There are no charges to book; simply log in to our, easy to use, online Booking scheduler and book the days you want.

Handover

Return time is usually 9.30am with pick-up at noon, but we do try and be flexible; our club like atmosphere means members often communicate with each other directly on the details for handover day.

Cleaning

We ask that you return the yacht in the same condition as when you

collected it. If the boat is returned in an unclean state there will be a

penalty charge, plus the cost of having the boat cleaned.

However we know that cleaning a boat is simply not how some people

want to end their sailing week. Therefore if you want, we can arrange to

have a boat valet company meet you on your return, service the yacht

as required and charge your account.

Cleaning Materials

You will always find the boat has been stocked with the essentials

needed to keep things “ship shape”. Such as washing up liquid, toilet

and shower cleaner, floor and dishcloths, plus a stock of toilet paper,

and a supply of clean tea towels. Wherever possible we will have

chosen the environmentally friendly option.
