Southampton
With direct access to Southampton Water and some fabulous Solent sailing our “home port” of Ocean Village is more than simply a place to park the boat. The historic basin was for many years the commercial heart of the city. The deep water needed by these traditional ships still makes it a favourite with tall ships and global yacht race competitors to this day.
The sheltered waters at the top of Southampton Water also give the opportunity to enjoy a day sailing on the sort of day that taking to open water may not be considered fun!
With today’s super-liners moored just a few hundred yards away, the Marina is now part of the City’s social scene, home to The Royal Southampton Yacht Club, and surrounded by a wealth of shops, restaurants, cinemas and bars.

Hamble
The village that lies just five miles South East of Southampton and officially known as Hamble-le-Rice has always existed principally to serve the sailing community; a result of its naturally sheltered moorings and “all states of the tide” direct access to the Solent. From leaving the marina you can be under full sail or powering through open water within minutes.
The picturesque village centred around the church of St Andrew has a number of traditional pubs and more contemporary restaurants. A well stocked branch of the Co-op plus local newsagent and several chandleries take care of necessities. A good farmhouse-style breakfast can also be easily found.

Lymington
A beautiful, Georgian market town, Lymington is situated on the southern edge of the New Forest between Southampton and Bournemouth and at the western end of the Solent.
The town is world renowned as a sailing resort and there are two large marinas. The myBoatshare.com boats operate out of the Yacht Haven at the mouth of the river. Superb facilities that are always immaculate and parking in close proximity to the moorings make this a great home base as well as an ideal starting-off location for cross channel trips or passages west to Poole harbour or beyond.
An open-air seawater bath that was first established in 1833 is still a firm favourite with kids of all ages after a summer day's sailing.
On Saturday a market is held in the High Street, the origins of which probably date back to the 13th century but still makes stocking up the boat a fun experience to this day.
Lymington is surrounded by outstanding natural beauty; to the north are the ancient woodlands and heathlands of the New Forest, covering an area of about 145 square miles, and to the south, the Solent and the Isle of Wight.

Swansea
With such great local sailing Swansea figures high on our list as a Sailing Base. If you would like to consider being an Owner Member or Base Operator Owner Member with your boat based out of Swansea please contact us.
Portsmouth
Portsmouth / Chichester - We are discussing moorings and marinas at the moment – Drop us a note and we will keep you informed.
East Coast
As “Southerners” the myBoatshare.com team are a bit lacking in local knowledge on the East Coast – If you have that knowledge and would like to discuss operating our base on the East Coast we would very much like to talk to you. Please see the Base Operator Owner Member information for more details.
Other
We are open minded, so if you think we are missing a logical location please tell us. We are always happy to talk to sailing enthusiasts that might be interested in basing a boat in a new location or maybe operating a base for us, be it in the UK or warmer parts such as the Mediterranean.
